About

Inshallah is without question one of the most stunning and luxurious beach properties in Diani. It has since been converted into a stunning holiday haven. The 2-acre prime beach plot overlooks one of the best beaches in the world and consists of 3 varying accommodation options; Azhari Beach Suite, Inshallah Beach Villa and Inshallah Beach Cottage. The original Swahili / Arab influence with a modern twist makes this beach property unique in many ways.

Accommodation

Inshallah Beach Cottage
The beautifully decorated cottage is bright, breezy, comfortable and includes everything needed to unwind. The cottage is deftly refined in decor and demonstrates the hosts’ combined skills at transforming reclaimed timber into rich, opulent artwork, with a complement of ample, comfortable furnishings. The unique set up includes a fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioned bedroom, bathroom and shower, living room and there are ceiling fans throughout. The outdoor veranda offers a large dining table, comfortable sofa, coffee table, and an open kitchen bar. The private sundeck space has beach beds, safari chairs, and coffee table and offers an ocean view to experience the heavenly sunrises view through the garden with a cup of coffee.

The garden is host to a large variety of indigenous and exotic plant species such as palms, tamarind and flamboyant trees. Local inhabitants include a multitude of wildlife species and primates, including Sykes and Vervet monkeys, Baboons and Bush Babies, as well as the now rare and very beautiful Angolan Colobus Monkey; not to mention an incredible variety of endemic bird species. The sweeping lawn leads to a private seafront beach area named ‘Woodhenge’ (for reasons you will discover during your stay) with a fire-pit BBQ and hardwood beach deck, for sun lovers. This is THE perfect ‘sundowner’ spot for an iced ‘G&T’ after a long day on the beach or safari.

The Cottage is just steps away from one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, yet has centre proximity to restaurants, bars and shopping, as well as the whole load of adventure activities that Diani Beach offers. Inshallah Beach Cottage can be occupied on self-catering, B&B, half or full board basis. Guests who enjoy cooking and creating their own meals, are welcome to order fresh fish and seafood, which is prepared and delivered, so you just have to add your own touch of spice.

Inshallah Beach Villa
The villa interior is spacious, beautifully appointed and hosts hand carved doors with teak floors and staircases throughout. A rare 18th Century Dutch Brass Lantern adorns the main interior dining room, whilst the entrance hall hosts an exquisite 400-year-old carved door bearing the Arabic date of 1021. Inshallah Beach Villa has four spacious and beautifully decorated, timber-framed bedrooms, all unique, which sleep 8 to 10 guests in supreme comfort. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, ceiling fans, WIFI, air conditioning, and mosquito nets. On the ground floor at the front of the house overlooking the infinity pool, is the spacious master suite – with a super king size bed, bathroom and private study lounge. Upstairs are a further two king sized bedrooms to take advantage of magical ocean views with large opening panel doors, which invite the cool East African trade winds in. These rooms also share a large private terrace, which can be used for yoga and wellness, or for simply chilling out at tree canopy level, with our resident primates! The fourth bedroom is a bright, well-planned area and consists of a mahogany mezzanine deck and staircase with lounge and study area, which can be converted on request to a quadruple, ensuite bedroom. This room is ideal for children sharing a queen size bed, along with two singles.

The irresistible deep blue infinity pool sits under the lush canopy of three 1,000-year-old Baobab trees and overlooks a heavenly garden onto the Indian Ocean and pristine beach. A large pool deck provides a perfect area for sunbathing, relaxing and fine Al Fresco dining. Outdoor facilities include a fabulous pool shower, ample refrigeration, and professional grill station. Additional outdoor living spaces comprise a courtyard, spacious second-floor veranda, fully stocked terraced bar and cozy coffee lounge. The sweeping lawn leads to a private seafront beach area named ‘Woodhenge’ (for reasons you will discover during your stay) with a fire-pit BBQ and hardwood beach deck for sun lovers. Not to mention.. that this is THE perfect ‘sundowner’ area for an iced ‘G&T’ after a long day on the beach or safari.

The extensive tropical garden boasts a 100-meter beach front and hosts a large variety of indigenous and exotic plant species such as palms, tamarind and flamboyant trees. Local inhabitants include a multitude of wildlife species and primates, including Sykes and Vervet monkeys, Baboons and Bush Babies, as well as the now rare and very beautiful Angolan Colobus Monkey; not to mention an incredible variety of endemic bird species.

Inshallah is a wonderfully authentic and special place in which to socialise and entertain. It provides generous living and dining areas, gardens and terraces, along with numerous private places in which to disappear and relax. Inshallah Beach Villa ensures a perfect balance between peace, privacy and relaxation, whilst providing a ton of exceptionally fun activities right on your doorstep, to choose from. The villa is fabulously unique, well equipped, designed, decorated and furnished with taste, style and attention-to-detail throughout.

Azhari Beach Suite is a fabulously unique and set in a very private location, situated directly on Kenya’s famous Diani Beach with magical ocean views. The suite overlooks a heavenly garden with 1,000-year-old Baobab trees and is THE perfect place for relaxation, romance, peace and recovery. Its location cannot be beaten, with steps away from one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, yet have centre proximity to restaurants, bars and shopping, as well as the whole load of adventure activities that Diani Beach offers.

The Azhari Beach Suite was named after a large Indian Ocean trading dhow which was constructed in the early 1930s from Himalayan teak wood and became wrecked on the reef directly in front of the property. Its timber beams where then reclaimed and carefully crafted into this now wonderful lodging, this beautiful reclaimed timber now provides the very genetics of its authentic and luxurious character. With considerable skill the old ship has been transformed into a rich opulent living space, with a compliment of ample and comfortable furnishings. An antique Swahili carved door provides the frame for the central coffee table which displays some of the ship’s original steel hardware. The suite is new, yet steeped in history, it is modern and well designed, yet fits in perfectly with its absolutely gorgeous, natural environment.

The private living area consists of an airy and spacious timber floored king-sized bedroom, with large fully retractable glass doors, revealing the extraordinary panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and cool East African trade winds. A private deep blue plunge pool is situated in front of your dining and living area and provides an exquisitely cool luxury dip, after a long beach walk, as does the intimate teak decked ‘jungle shower’, which seemingly flows out of a giant mahogany tree. The use of a rare fossilised (long extinct) species of giant clam for sinks and water features, adds additional enhancement to the amazing décor.

An additional elevated beach area provides more personal outdoor space, with a private chill and sunbathing spot, hammock, sun bed and beach shower, crafted from a section of the Azhari Dhow. A timber stepped foot path leads to the gateway onto the pristine beach and down to an incredible seafront beach location named ‘Woodhenge’ (for reasons you will discover during your stay) where there is a fire-pit BBQ and hardwood beach deck.

A small service kitchen provides a fridge with a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks and compliments a well-stocked ‘self-service’ bar. Outstanding full/half board, or breakfast only accommodation is combined with excellent management and staff, making your stay here a totally pleasurable, carefree and relaxing experience.

With a flawless, long stretch of white-sand beach hugged by lush forest and kissed by surfable waves, it’s no wonder Diani Beach is so popular. This resort town scores points with a diverse crowd: party people, families, honeymooners, backpackers and water-sports enthusiasts.
But if that sounds like your typical resort town, think again. Diani has some of the best accommodation in Kenya, from budget party hostels to funky kitesurfing lodges and intimate honeymoon spots. Most places are spread along the beach road, hidden behind a line of forest.
When lazing in a hammock gets tiring, visit the coral mosques with their archways that overlook the open ocean, venture into the sacred forests where guides hug trees that speak in their ancestors’ voices, or take in the monkey sanctuary – all are good ways to experience more of the coast than the considerable charms of sun and sand.
